Ashley Tanner CPA, CGA

Ashley Tanner is a partner at Vantage Point Chartered Professional Accountants. She began her career with the predecessor firm, Hryciuk Gallinger, in 2007 as a bookkeeper. Over time, she transitioned into a full-time accounting role while pursuing her Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation, which she earned in 2015. In 2016, Ashley was admitted as a partner and has since been dedicated to supporting a diverse client base through a broad range of accounting services. Her expertise includes assurance engagements, corporate and personal tax planning, and business consulting.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Sustainability from the College of the Rockies. As part of her academic work, she conducted a research project focused on identifying paperless solutions for businesses, with a particular emphasis on accounting firms. Her efforts contributed to transitioning the predecessor firm to a more environmentally sustainable, paperless work environment.

Ashley is deeply committed to building lasting client relationships and is passionate about helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals. She takes pride in her role as a trusted advisor and looks forward to continuing to serve current and future clients with professionalism and care.
In addition to her professional role, Ashley serves on the Board of Directors of the local Chamber of Commerce as Treasurer, where she contributes her financial expertise to support the growth and development of the business community.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending quality time with her young family and can often be found with a good book in hand.

Jason Fast CPA, CGA

Jason brings over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry and has been a Chartered
Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) for more than 15 years. He rejoined Vantage Point in 2019
after serving as Controller at East Kootenay Community Credit Union from 2012 to 2019. His
relationship with the firm began earlier, having worked with its predecessor, Hryciuk Gallinger,
from 2007 to 2012. In recognition of his leadership and expertise, Jason became a partner at
Vantage Point in 2020.

With extensive experience in both public practice and industry, Jason offers clients a balanced
and well-rounded perspective. His areas of focus include financial reporting, tax planning for
owner-managed businesses, and advising small to mid-sized enterprises across a range of
industries.

Jason is also deeply connected the Cranbrook business community. He served as President of the
Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce in 2019/2020. His broad experience in both public practice
and industry gives him a balanced and practical perspective that benefits the clients and team at
Vantage Point.

Known for his practical advice and steady leadership, Jason is committed to building long-term
relationships and helping clients make confident, informed decisions. Outside of the office,
Jason enjoys spending time in the natural surroundings of the East Kootenay. He is an avid fly-
fisher and enjoys camping, mountain biking, and exploring the outdoors with his family.

Working closely with businesses and families in this region, we’ve helped businesses start up, grow and pass to new owners over time. Vantage Point is located in Cranbrook, a vibrant small city in the East Kootenay region of southeast British Columbia. Cranbrook offers an ideal blend of small-town friendliness and livability with the energy you might associate with a larger center. We serve clients throughout the East Kootenay and West Kootenay regions of BC, as well as clients in Vancouver, Kelowna and Alberta.
