Overview:
The Senior Accountant is an important developmental role for individuals who have gained some experience and are ready to take on more responsibility. You’ll be expected to manage client relationships, supervise junior staff, and assist in more complex engagements.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of the CPA PEP program and successful completion of the CFE.
  • Experience: Typically, 3–5 years of experience in accounting or assurance, with direct exposure to client work, financial statements, and tax returns.
  • CPA Requirements: CPA designation in good standing.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting reports.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and staff accountants.
  • Assist managers in planning, executing, and reviewing assurance and tax engagements.
  • Review client documentation and perform detailed analysis.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, offering solutions for business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
